New York Trip

Time to post some NY/DC pictures ... this was in Thanksgiving. Already a month!! After being to many historic places that I found it very difficult to be impressed by the architecture, culture (any?) or the charms of big cities ...
Especially for NY, the subway is like this ... plus you the smell, which you have to be there to experience it. Inside the train things are little bit better, but of coz not as good as those in HK ....

However the food is ok. Cheap and very into the tradition of HK oldstyle - a lot of soy sauce ... it tastes good but I don't believe it is healthy. Anthony like it very much though:

Other tourist spots are just those you will visit once in your lifetime ... yes, once is enough, here are some "standard" visitor spots:
TimeSquare -

"Free Lady" statue - officialy known as the statue of liberty

Muesum of Modern art:

However, the Ellis Island Meusuem did impressed me with (ironically not the good part of NY) how badly early immigrants were being treated and I am grateful and thankful for the immigration process I am going through now. At least I don't need to take those "Intelligence Quality" test ... in case I may fail them :=)

This is a pair of shoes from a chinese girl who went to Ellis island during the immigration wave in the 20s.

And this is an Anti-Chinese poster from that period of time ...

And for those of us who are still waiting for Green Card, maybe a good time to be americanized by taking this school:

Of coz there are other fun parts about NY such as locating bus stops, catching up last trains, and be always alert about homeless ppl ...

Testing ...

This one is much faster ... (than space)

White Christmas ... I'd wished. This was taken during Thanksgiving :(
